Primary Activities/Duties
- Provide on-site customer support for climate control product installation, planned maintenance, repair, and service training.
- Complete required service reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate field service activities with customers and local Rittal sales personnel.
- Deliver telephone-based technical support to customers and service partners.
- Promote service contracts through customer engagement and communication.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend cost-effective Rittal solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to travel and work independently in customer-facing environments.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including use of meters and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and computers for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple assignments.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols in designated areas.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in air conditioner repair; EPA certification for refrigerant recovery and servicing of CFC-based units required.
- Experience with industrial recirculating chillers preferred.
- Prior field service experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with robotic systems and PLC platforms is beneficial.
