Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000

Primary Activities/Duties

Account Management

  • Identify, analyze, and prospect new sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into sustainable business.
  • Maximize subscription and services revenue with new and existing customers.
  • Negotiate and close deals while maintaining strong customer relationships at executive and mid-management levels.
  • Execute sales strategy based on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop accounts and their ecosystems to apply the full EPLAN Platform for maximum value and integration.
  • Represent EPLAN at conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Build and maintain a strong network with customers, partners, and industry associations.

Account Planning

  • Analyze short- and long-term opportunities using data-driven insights.
  • Develop strategic account plans for major customers.
  • Initiate corrective actions when necessary to meet targets.

Sales Reporting

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts regularly.
  • Maintain customer data and activity in CRM (Salesforce preferred).
  • Continuously analyze sales results, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on performance and opportunities.

Team Collaboration

  • Act as a team player and orchestrator across EPLAN departments including Professional Services, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
  • Communicate openly with management about market developments, challenges, and competitive threats.

Job Dimensions

  • Customer Portfolio: Selected EPLAN customers and prospects within a regional territory.
  • Product Portfolio: Full suite of EPLAN products and services.
  • Subscription Management: Responsible for renewals and expansion of EPLAN subscriptions.
  • Travel: Approximately 40–50% to customer sites and internal meetings.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling engineering software solutions to senior-level executives.
  • Proven success in account development and territory growth.
  • Knowledge of the electrical automation market in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with account planning methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman, Solution Selling).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of CAX/ECAD/PLM engineering applications and consultative sales approaches.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders and develop compelling business cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive team player.
