Primary Activities/Duties
- Drive business through cold calling, pipelining, and closing opportunities aligned with the Pharmaceutical Vertical.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Inside Sales, Regional Account Managers, and the Vertical Market Manager (VMM) to coordinate interrelated projects.
- Execute and manage large-scale (multi-million dollar) programs and/or multiple sub-projects within the vertical.
- Understand key initiatives and drivers of the Pharmaceutical Vertical and their impact on organizational strategy.
- Work with the VMM to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
- Assess customer product needs and partner with Rittal’s field sales team to provide full-scope product solutions.
- Coordinate across regions for multi-jurisdictional accounts.
- Submit monthly activity reports and territory analyses to management.
- Monitor competitive activity and gather market intelligence on pricing, products, and accounts.
- Attend networking events and tradeshows to build relationships and promote Rittal’s brand.
- Assist in developing and implementing the annual business plan.
- Identify marketing opportunities within the Pharmaceutical Vertical.
- Develop contacts within focus accounts to drive demand for Rittal solutions.
- Track KPI metrics for ecosystem accounts and opportunities, and coach Regional Sales Managers as needed.
- Take strategic direction from the VMM and execute accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; technical fields such as Engineering, Business Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience; business development in electrical/automation is a plus.
- Aviation industry experience is a plus, especially with end users, ecosystem companies, and integrators.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- CRM proficiency and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- High energy, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented mindset.
