Position Summary
Rittal and EPLAN are seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly organized social media & communications manager to lead and execute integrated communications across digital and traditional platforms. As an individual contributor, this role owns the planning, creation, and deployment of compelling content that supports field marketing campaigns, brand storytelling, product launches, and internal/external marketing communications.
This position serves as the subject matter expert and lead executor for social media strategy, sales enablement communications, copywriting, and marketing content creation for both Rittal and EPLAN in North America. The ideal candidate is equally skilled in content development, project management, and digital platform management, with a proven track record of translating business goals into impactful messaging that drive engagement and awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Execution
  • Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) for Rittal and EPLAN, ensuring consistent voice, tone, and visual identity compliant to CI brand guidelines.
  • Act as a consultant to Business Unit and Field Marketing Managers to translate strategic goals into platform-specific, audience-relevant content.  Develop, write, and schedule engaging social media content that aligns with campaign priorities, product launches, thought leadership, and industry events.
  • Engagement & Advocacy - monitor daily engagement and lead employee advocacy initiatives (e.g., LinkedIn enablement) to amplify our reach through our subject matter experts. Collaborate with Business Unit Marketing Managers and Field Marketing Managers to translate strategic marketing plans into platform-specific, audience-relevant posts.
  • Paid/Organic Integration: Coordinate with digital marketing and SEO teams to ensure paid social campaigns are seamlessly integrated with organic storytelling Coordinate paid social campaigns ensuring integration with organic strategies.
  • Monitor daily engagement, respond to comments/messages, and support employee advocacy and LinkedIn enablement.
High-Impact Marketing Communications
  • Create, proof, and edit marketing copy across digital and print channels, including product pages, campaign materials, email content, press releases, and sales enablement assets.
  • Build and execute 360-degree communications plan to support campaigns owned by field marketing managers, events, and brand initiatives — including internal messaging and external outreach.
  • Maintain and update marketing asset libraries and campaign materials to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and ease of access for the sales organization.
  • Assist in tradeshow communications, promotional planning, and content coordination for in-person and virtual events.
Project & Content Management
  • Oversee timelines and deliverables for all communications-related projects, coordinating with creative teams, agencies, and vendors as needed.
  • Support media relations activities such as award submissions, third-party content syndication, and association engagement.
Analytics & Optimization
  • Track and report performance metrics (impressions, engagement, reach, CTR, conversions) across social and digital campaigns.
  • Use insights to recommend and optimize posting schedules, content types, messaging, and platform strategies.
  • Recommend enhancements to improve campaign outcomes and visibility.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 4+ years of B2B marketing experience, including direct experience managing corporate social media accounts.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience crafting content across formats and channels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and basic content design tools as needed.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, product launches, and digital lead generation campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or software/technology industries.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Understanding of SEO and content optimization for social and web.
  • Experience developing internal communications or employee engagement initiatives.
  • Video and/or graphic editing proficiency
