Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive Process Optimization: Utilize Methods-Time Measurement (MTM) to establish standard times, analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks and safety hazards, and design efficient arrangements for production tasks.
  • Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create clear and concise work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient execution of production processes.
  • Lead and Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles to identify waste reduction opportunities, formulate innovative solutions, and lead or actively participate in Kaizen/CIP programs for cost reduction and optimization.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze performance data to track metrics and measure the impact of implemented process improvements.
  • Cost Management: Support detailed product cost analysis, simulations, and reports. Additionally, perform detailed production cost analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost reduction/optimization programs.
  • Skill Development and Knowledge Sharing: Continuously enhance MTM expertise and stay updated on the latest industrial engineering methodologies. Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues to cultivate a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Standardization and Improvement: Establish or update labor time standards across product lines and actively lead or participate in Kaizen activities to further reduce labor times.
  • Operational Efficiency: Support 6S activities to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Report on progress and identify areas for further improvement both locally and to headquarters.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, engineering, and quality control to ensure successful implementation of process improvements. Actively engage with peers and management to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Benchmarking and Best Practices: Participate in benchmarking activities with HQ to identify and implement "World Class" manufacturing standards.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of a 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in methods and time study (MTM and/or MOST) is required.
  • Data analysis skills & MS excel is required.
  • Prior experience in a lean manufacturing environment utilizing standard work, single-piece flow, and cell technology is highly desirable.
  • Experience with computer-based time estimating and familiarity with SAP routings and Time data management are considered assets.
