Brief Job Summary:
The Receiving Material Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections and measurements of incoming materials within a warehouse environment. This role ensures purchased materials meet quality standards, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and provides critical feedback that directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.

- Inspect purchased material and products in warehouse locations
- Document inspection findings and results accurately
- Complete one (1) Quality-approved continuous improvement project annually
- Perform measurements of incoming material and make decisions regarding product quality
- Communicate performance issues, inspection findings, and non-conformances to relevant stakeholders Conduct inspections, data logging, reporting, analysis, and training as needed
- Support warehouse personnel daily and assist with control of non-conforming products
- Perform other work as directed by the Supplier Quality Engineer
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related role
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing assignments, and learn office procedures/new software
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shoulders
- Ability to work at a computer and keyboard occasionally during the shift
- Warehouse atmosphere
- Must wear PPE including safety glasses with side shields, safety-toe footwear, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required
