Modification Center Supervisor
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to provide leadership to the Modification Center team in Urbana, Ohio who utilizes a hands-on approach to problem solving with a focus on a superior customer experience. In our Modification Center, our automated modification machinery creates holes, threads and cutouts on surfaces of an enclosure, such as mounting plates, doors, sidewalls, and the enclosure housing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership, mentorship and oversight of the Modification Team
- Implement and adhere to Lean principles
- Develop process improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and improve effectiveness
- Develop strategic objectives for the Modification Center team and set specific measurable goals. Assist the team in achieving these goals
- Work closely with the Sales department on key projects and issues
- Monitor the schedule of modifications and ensure that the work progresses to meet the scheduled completion date
- Development and implementation of efficiency improvements
- Responsible for the Quality functions within the organization including inspection, analysis, evaluation of quality issues and the development and implementation of corrective actions
- Liaison with the relevant quality leaders at factory suppliers for factory related quality issues
- Oversee overall inventory accuracy, transactions, and annual physical inventory
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of staff management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical field preferred
- Production, Distribution, Fields of Electrical, Mechanical or Power Distribution preferred
- Understanding of and have experience applying Lean principles and strategies
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles
- Auto Cad experience is beneficial
- Previous experience using an SAP is preferred
- Proficient with Office Suite of programs
- Able to speak, read, and write clearly in English
- Other duties as assigned
