Project Manager – Energy & Power Solutions

As the Project Manager you will direct/manage/supervise the delivery of projects/programs within the energy and power business unit. Develop and enforce project delivery standards and establish the organization's approach to the full life cycle of projects, from planning, initiation, resourcing, execution, monitoring, control, and completion. Oversee project teams, drive resources, budgets, and schedules. Track and provide project status and audit reports; manage the risk, issue, and change resolution process and work with other leaders to take corrective action, as necessary. Work across teams to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading project teams, with clear guidelines, tasks, and milestones, while assuring compliance to a standardized process and identifying and implementing best practices
  • Collaborating with the staff, establish a standardized PM process including standardized tracking and reporting, escalation, change manage, management and issue resolution.
  • Overseeing the development of project plan documents in relation to scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
  • Monitoring project implementation to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, risk management and health, safety, and the environment.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and addressing project risks, with the regular sharing of lessons learned
  • Oversees contract negotiation and claims with customers, in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Legal functions as required to critical projects.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and achieving overall project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
  • Possessing tact, empathy, diplomacy, and efficiency in communicating effectively, and requires decision making ability with ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with customers and management.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Set and continually manage project team expectations.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation and presentations for executive team. Document the quality concerns of customers and provide follow-up communication.
  • Drive on-time performance based on customer requirement consistent with production availability.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • A PMP certification preferred.
  • International Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proven capacity to coordinate and lead remote teams, working in different geographic locations.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP, MS Project, and other PM tools
  • Preferably Strong knowledge of UL standards 508A (Industrial Control Panels), 845 (Motor Controls), 891 (Switchboards)    
  • Industry knowledge and contacts in the "Energy & Power" environment
