Tasks
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the development and execution of quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team by implementing quality assurance policies, conducting quality audits, and enhancing overall quality standards across the organization. The Quality Assurance Manager will also guide and support new product development, continuous improvement, training programs, and quality awareness.

Guidelines
Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn/use new software.  Must be detailed oriented; communicate effectively via oral and written communications with all levels of employees and departments.  Wear safety glasses with side shields, safety toed footwear, hearing protection and additional PPE as required.  Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.  The ability to lift 25-50 lbs. to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.  Stand for extended periods of time and work at a computer and keyboard occasionally throughout the shift.

Responsibility
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance in agreement with regulatory requirements, customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality assurance is integrated into the product development process from inception to launch. 
  • Develop and implement quality plans for new products.
  • Plan, conduct, and oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  •  Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and support on-site audit teams and audit planning.
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Utilize different techniques and tools to collect, process, and interpret data related to quality, such as metrics, reports, feedback, and audits. 
  • Establish robust defect prevention quality tools in support of NPI, APQP & PPAP. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the quality system. 
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for employees on quality assurance practices, policies, and procedures. 
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization. 
  • Communicate quality goals, initiatives, and achievements to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all team members are adequately trained and informed about quality standards, goals and expectations.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, quality management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Lead Auditor certification preferred (all ASQ Certifications considered)
  • Proficient in industry standards and regulations related to quality control (ISO9001/AS9100)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance software and tools.
  • Expert in Quality principles and experience working in an environment where Quality was greatly emphasized
  • Machining, metalworking, and assembly are all valuable experience, but not required.
  • Previous work in R&D, Product Development, or developing manufacturing platforms is a plus

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
