As the Head of Consulting (USA) for Professional Services at Eplan, you will serve as the operational anchor for our consulting and project management teams. We are looking for an experienced software industry leader who excels at scaling teams, optimizing service delivery, and executing on high-level business strategies. In this highly collaborative role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and commercial success, partnering closely with internal disciplines—especially Sales and Customer Retention—and our global headquarters in Germany to ensure our professional services meet world-class standards. 
 
Primary Responsibilities 
  • Operational Leadership: Direct and optimize the daily operations of the Professional Services team, with a primary focus on consulting and project management delivery. 
  • Team Management & Scaling: Lead, mentor, and develop a large, high-performing team of technical professionals. Drive resource planning, performance management, and capacity forecasting to meet business demands. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge and maintain solid, productive relationships with vital internal departments (most notably Sales and Customer Retention) to ensure a cohesive customer journey experience. 
  • Global Alignment: Act as the primary operational liaison with Eplan’s headquarters and managing counterparts to synchronize strategies, share best practices, and maintain global service standards. 
  • Presales & Consulting Strategy: Guide the consulting team in developing tailored, high-value technical solutions that align with client requirements and drive software adoption. 
  • Project Governance: Oversee the project management lifecycle for key accounts, ensuring that implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with profitability targets. 
  • Revenue Responsibility: Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted numbers for the consulting side of the business.  
Required Qualifications: 
  • Educational BackgroundA bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. A master’s degree in engineering or an MBA is highly preferred. 
  • Industry ExperienceSignificant, demonstrated experience leading and managing large teams within the professional services sector of the software industry. 
  • Program Management: Proven qualifications and demonstrated capabilities in program management, with a track record of successfully overseeing complex, multi-phase technical initiatives. 
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of software consulting, pre-sales workflows, and project management methodologies.

Additional Information:
