Director of the Cooling BU is responsible for guiding, supporting, and pushing sales teams to achieve sales target and penetrate new verticals, new customer segment and new applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Implements the Global BU strategy and adapts strategy for US and Canada.
  • Responsible for market analysis.
  • Creates Cooling budget together with CSO.
  • Ensures achievement of defined financial targets for the Cooling BU in the market.
  • Support sales team to achieve defined targets by working closely with sales management.
  • Drives Marketing & Sales campaigns for products and solutions.
  • Works and coordinates with Product Management on existing product life cycle.
  • Drives product innovation and responsible for the roll-out of product innovation in US and Canada and acts as for HQ. 
  • Improves the footprint of the Cooling BU in the US (Internet, E&P applications e.g. RiPanel, web-shop, tradeshows, white-papers, speeches etc.)
  • Coordinates large projects in the region together with the team-members.
  • Role measured by the target achievement of the regional BU in terms of BU sales and BU profit/loss (P&L).
  • Coordination of Competence management within North America.
  • Provides guidance and advice within the executive leadership staff towards successful business performance.
  • Ensures that the Cooling BU is organized, staffed, skilled and directed (with HR support).
  • Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates (with HR support).
  • The position reports to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Rittal LLC.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, business management, or economics. Additional technical training.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in relevant industries.
  • Profound knowledge of Rittal’s industries, markets, competition, and trends.
  • Understands how to position resources for most effective market penetration.
  • Able to build up markets and grow market share. Excellent in building partnerships and finding synergies to ensure achievement of strategic goals.
  • Profound understanding of channel management.
  • Deep knowledge in the areas of strategy, planning, product management, vertical markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong international and intercultural communicator in verbal and written format.
  • Analytical thinker.
  • Strong leader who can create ambitious goals and motivate a team to follow and to commit.
  • Winning personality with ability to convince others and to resolve conflicts.
  • Highly customer orientated.
  • Able to integrate into a matrix organization and to report in two reporting lines effectively.
  • Initiative-taker who can set targets and follow up on his/her own in a highly energetic and purposeful manner.
  • Ability to collaborate with Team.
