Inside Sales Representative

As the Inside Sales Representative, you will sell products and/or services to customers exclusively via telephone and Internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) and function as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. Responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts through ongoing client contact and support. Close sales within territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service group. Respond to client inquiries and offer guidance on appropriate products and services. Execute sales strategy, generate sales reports, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent and communicate Rittal’s overall product line to potential and current customer base.
- Increased inside sales and market share within a defined territory through strategic outreach and daily, initiative-taking sales activities.
- Identify and create high priority, target account contact database within defined regions.
- Contacts existing and potential customers to follow-up on leads, determine the status of quotations, and set appointments for Field Sales as appropriate.
- Partner effectively with the Field Sales to drive full cycle sales coverage and achieve regional goals.
- In-depth understanding of Rittal products, markets, applications, and distributor models.
- Detailed understanding of the customer’s needs as related to the products or services being sold.
- Communicate with Inside Sales/Outside Sales/Manufacture Rep’s/Distributors.
- Communicate opportunities, issues, and trends to management.
- Participate in trade shows and onsite/offsite customer visits as needed.
- Complete rotation of trainings to gain advance knowledge of products, selling skills, customer relationship skills and others as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 0-3 Years of experience in a sales-related position.
- Technical background and knowledge of industrial products is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Quick leaner, receptive to coaching, and collaborative.
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
- High energy, initiative-taking, and goal oriented
- Willingness to relocate for sales advancement opportunities.
