As the Director of Global Key Accounts, you will develop the vision, strategy, and execution for top line revenue across multiple revenue driving market segments. You will own SG&A and ensure proactive and aggressive initiatives to reduce cost and optimize production. You will work in collaboration with the Executives, VP of IT Sales, and GM’s to ensure effective execution of company objectives and align with other regions. This position will manage a team of Key Account Managers across the country driving the direction and vision of their target markets. You will handle a wide scope of duties including designing strategy and set goals for growth, set policies and processes in line with business goals and provide solutions to issues within discipline.

Primary Activities/Duties:

  • Lead and mentor a team of account managers, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Manage and nurture global relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to increase revenue, market share, and profit through tactics that leverage the organization and differentiate Rittal from the competition.
  • Develop and execute customers development plans to achieve sales targets and expand our global business.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and trends within current global account’s ecosystem and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth.
  • Perform business development activities together with the entire sales organization to develop new global accounts to the company’s portfolio. 
  • Partner with the Product Management, and Marketing teams to ensure an integrated strategy across all business units and product lines.
  • Negotiate and coordinate the execution of global contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Prepare, present and manage regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
  • Establish performance metrics, manage the sales process, and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Own headcount projections and collaborate with HR for talent acquisition, development, evaluation, and training of team.
  • Evaluate and Improve operations and financial performance.
  • Owns SG&A management and continuous organizational efficiency improvement.
  • Execution of corporate strategies including pricing requests/reviews/approvals (based on guidelines).
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote our solutions and build brand awareness.
  • The position requires a high degree of travel effort and the ability to interact with different cultures around the globe.
  • Interface effectively with the North American Leadership Team as well as the Corporate Executive and Global Teams.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field. MBA Preferred.  
  • High energy leader, self-motivated, independent and goal oriented.
  • Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus. (Spanish and German is a plus)
  • Minimum of 7 years of management experience with significant experience leading global sales organization.
  • Experience in P&L and SG&A management and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing in an organization selling to strategic key accounts. 
  • Individual must have a strong work ethic as well as strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
